Create bundle discounts

Reward shoppers who buy a complete product bundle with a percentage off, an amount off, or free shipping.

Bundle discounts reward shoppers for buying a complete bundle from a LimeSpot bundle box, such as Bought Together on a product page. When every item in the bundle is selected, the box shows your discount message and the discounted total, and the discount is applied at checkout. It's a simple way to raise average order value.

Plan: Growth Agents plan · Platform: SHOPLINE

Included in the Growth Agents plan. If your plan doesn't include it, Studio shows Bundle Discounts is not included in your plan with a Contact Sales button.

Before you start

Your bundle discount shows only when all three are true:

  1. A Bought Together, Cross Sell, Related Products or Others Also Liked box on the Product page has its Layout set to Bundle or Bundle Grid. See Recommendation box settings explained.

  2. Enable Discounts & Promos is on in Settings > Discounts.

  3. Both changes are published.

Before you publish

Bundle discount campaigns go live as soon as you click Done in the template picker, save a new campaign, or activate one. They don't wait for Publish. If a bundle box is already published and Enable Discounts & Promos is on, shoppers see the discount right away. Placing or changing the bundle box on a page still needs Publish.

Start from a template

  1. In Studio, click Menu (⋮) in the top bar and choose Discounts & Promotions. The Bundle Discounts tab opens.

  2. Click From Templates.

  3. Click one or more template cards to select them. Each card reads like "Offer [discount] on product bundles to your [audience] when bundle value exceeds [$X]".

  4. To change a value, click its chip on the card. The discount chip lets you choose Discount %, Discount $ or Free Shipping. The threshold chip sets the Minimum bundle value ($). Click Save in the chip's window.

  5. Click Done. Selected templates are turned on and deselected ones are turned off.

Create a campaign from scratch

  1. On the Bundle Discounts tab, click From Scratch.

  2. Under General, enter a Title (shoppers don't see it), choose a Discount Type (Percentage, Fixed Amount or Free Shipping) and enter the amount.

  3. Under Presentation, enter the Discount Tag (for example "DISCOUNT"), the Discount Text (for example "Buy this bundle and save 10%") and an optional Discount Footnote. The Campaign copy preview shows how it reads.

  4. Under Bundle Conditions, set a Minimum bundle amount (0 means no minimum) and choose a Bundle product match option.

  5. Under Products, click Select Products to limit the campaign. With nothing selected, all bundle products are eligible.

  6. Optional: under Audience, choose segments in Show. Under Schedule, set a Start Date and End Date. Under Combinations, choose whether the discount can combine with product, order or shipping discounts.

  7. Click Save. The new campaign is active right away.

Turn on discounts in your store

  1. Click Settings (the gear) in the top bar and open the Discounts tab.

  2. Turn on Enable Discounts & Promos.

  3. Optional: choose a campaign in Preview Campaign to see it on the canvas.

  4. Click Publish.

Manage campaigns

Open the ⋯ menu on a campaign row to Edit, Clone, Activate, Deactivate or Archive it. Template campaigns are edited through From Templates. A cloned campaign starts inactive. Archived campaigns stop running and can be activated later. When two or more campaigns are active, use Reorder to set priority: the top campaign is checked first when several match the same bundle.

For results, use the Visit Bundle Discount Analytics link above the table.

What shoppers see

  • With every bundle item checked, the bundle shows your tag, text and footnote, and the total shows the discounted price.

  • If the shopper unchecks an item, the discount message disappears and the regular total shows.

  • The discount is applied automatically at checkout. Shoppers don't enter a code.

  • If the shopper later removes a bundle item from the cart, the discount is removed.
