Increase Store Revenue with Personalized Discounts

How to Boost Conversion Rate, Average Order Value, and Revenue with Personalized Discounts on Product Bundles

Strategy

Distinguish Returning Visitors and Returning Buyers on your site to offer personalized discounts on product bundles as they browse your website.

These two audience segments and proposed discount campaigns are based on best practices and could be replaced or updated according to store requirements and performance. You can always add more segments and offer additional personalized discounts

Step 1 - Activate Discounts Add-on

  1. Login to the LimeSpot App and navigate to Conversions > Discounts and Promotions

  2. If you do not already have the Discounts Add-on, click on Start 7-day Free Trial and Activate the Personalized Discounts on Product Bundles Add-on.

Step 2 - Create Audience Segments

The Personalized Discounts Add-on comes with 2 Free Audience Segments included. In order to offer personalized discounts, you must first create your segments:

  1. Navigate to Segmentation > Audience and click on Create

  2. Select Returning Visitors from the drown-down list and Save.

  3. Select Returning Buyers from the drown-down list and Save.

Activate Audience Segments Add-on if you need more Audience Segments.

Step 3 - Create Discount Campaigns

  1. Click Create and use the following information, or update as you see fit:

    1. Set Title to Returning Visitors - 10% off

    2. Set Discount Type to Discount %

    3. Set Discount to 10%

    4. Set Minimum Bundle Amount to $0

    5. Set Discount Combination to include Free Shipping and click Next

    6. Leave the Products tab Blank to apply the campaign to All Products and click Next

    7. Select Returning Visitors for Audience and click Next

    8. Update the Presentation as you see fit

    9. Click Next, review the details and click Complete

    Note: Additional settings are available when defining the Discount Campaigns that are not listed above. Feel free to make changes to the campaign according to the comprehensive guide.

  2. Click Create and use the following information, or update as you see fit:

    1. Set Title to Returning Buyers - 15% off

    2. Set Discount Type to Discount %

    3. Set Discount to 15%

    4. Set Minimum Bundle Amount to $0

    5. Set Discount Combination to include Free Shipping and click Next

    6. Leave the Products tab Blank to apply the campaign to All Products and click Next

    7. Select Returning Visitors for Audience and cllick Next

    8. Update the Presentation as you see fit

    9. Click Next, review the details and click Complete

Step 4 - Publish

  1. Navigate to Conversion > Website Personalization and click on Designer

  2. Select Product Page from the navigation dropdown menu on top left

  3. Make sure Frequently Bought Together recommendation box is included on the product page, and its style is set to Bundle.

  4. Set Product Bundle Discounts checkbox to Enable.

  5. Save and Publish.
