Learn how to boost conversion rate and drive revenue with LimeSpot Segment-based Collection Merchandizing

Strategy

Attract New Visitors and engage Returning Buyers on your site by personalizing your best performing collections for each segment.

Attract New Visitors: Sort products by highest discount rate for your First-time Visitors

Engage Returning Buyers: Boost sales by showing items with the highest conversion rate first to Frequent Buyers

The strategy presented in this article is based on best practices. However, each store is a bit different and adapting or entirely replacing the segments and offers described below may be recommendable. You can also expand this approach to other segments. Experimentation leads to best results.

Login to the LimeSpot App

Login to the LimeSpot App and navigate to Personalization > Smart Collections.

If you do not already have this add-on, click on Start 7-day Free Trial and Activate the Curated Collections add-on.

Step 1 - Create Audience Segments

In order to provide Segment-based Collection Merchandizing, you must first create your segments:

  1. Navigate to Personalization > Audience Segments and click on Create

  2. Select New visitors from the drown-down list and Save.

  3. Select Returning buyers from the drown-down list and Save.

Step 2 - Create Smart Collections Campaigns

  1. Click Create and use the following information, or update as you see fit:

    1. Select your top performing Collection as Starting Collection,

    2. Set the Collection Curated type to Dynamic

    3. Click on Next

  2. Click Add Collection Variant

    1. Add a title: Attract new visitors

    2. Select First-time visitors as your Target Audience

    3. Select your starting collection as you Products

    4. Set the Sorting as Discount (Low to high)

    5. Pin products if needed

    6. Apply and close

      Create another Collection Variant

    1. Add a title: Engage Returning Buyers

    2. Select Returning Buyers as your Target Audience

    3. Select your starting collection as you Products

    4. Set the Sorting as Discount (Low to high)

    5. Pin products if needed

    6. Apply and close

  3. Repeat this process for your five top performing Collections.

  4. Set the Fall Back option to Show the starting collection

Step 3 - Review and Publish

  1. Click on Preview in store to review each collection variation.

  2. Enable Publish immediately and click on Complete
