How to read the revenue analytics dashboard

The revenue analytics give you the sales overview combining total sales, discounts, shipping, tax, and refunds. It shows how your store is performing across all of your A/B testing experiences and for any date range.

From your LimeSpot Admin Panel, go to Analytics > Revenue. By default, the past 14 days of data are shown.

If you'd like to observe data for a different date range, navigate to the date picker at the top right and click on a different time period. You are able to click on a preset date range, such as Last 30 Days, or set a custom date by selecting the dates on the calendar date picker.

There are 4 categories in the revenue dashboard: Sales, Refunds, Product Refund Conversions, and Discount Conversions. The numbers shown in the dashboard are based on the store's currency.

Sales

Key Terminology

Definition

Gross Sales

Product price x quantity (before taxes, shipping, discounts, and refunds).

Canceled, pending, and unpaid orders are included.

Discounts

Total amount of discounts (based on the discount codes, NOT the compare at price), reflected as a negative value.

Product Refunds

Total amount of refunds, reflected as a negative value.

Net Sales

The sum of the gross sales minus discounts and refunds. This may also be referred to as "revenue" throughout LimeSpot's website.

Shipping

Total amount in shipping.

Tax

Total amount in taxes.

Shipping and Tax Refunds

Total amount of shipping and taxes refunded.

Total Sales

Gross sales - discounts - refunds + taxes + shipping charges.

Refunds

Key Terminology

Definition

Product Refunds

Total amount of refunds, it is the same number as under the "Sales" category.

Tax Refunds

Total amount of tax refunded.

Shipping Refunds

Total amount of shipping cost refunded.

Total Refunds

Product refunds + tax refunds + shipping refunds.

Product Refund Conversions

Key Terminology

Definition

Purchased Products

The top row reflects the dollar value of total purchased products (left) as well as the total number of purchased products (right).

Refunded Products

The bottom row reflects the dollar value of total refunded products (left) as well as the total number of refunded products (right).

Discount Conversions

Purchased Products

The top row reflects the dollar value of total purchased products.

Discounted Products

The bottom row reflects the dollar value of total discounted products.
