Preview your store as an audience

See your store the way a specific audience segment sees it, including personalized content you haven't published yet.

When you personalize content for different shoppers, you need to see each version. Preview as audience shows your page as a shopper in a chosen segment would see it, so you can check targeted images, content and recommendation boxes before you publish.

Availability

Plan: Growth Agents plan · Platform: SHOPLINE · You need at least one audience segment (see Create audience segments)

What it shows

While you preview as a segment, Studio shows the content that segment would get:

  • Smart Image and Smart Block variations targeted to that segment, including ones you haven't published yet.

  • Recommendation box variations targeted to that segment.

It only changes what you see in Studio. Shoppers, your analytics and your segments aren't affected.

Preview as a segment

  1. In the top bar, click Preview as anyone. Its tooltip reads "Preview the canvas as a specific audience segment".

  2. In the Preview as audience list, pick a segment.

  3. The button turns into a chip with the segment's name, and the page updates.

  4. Browse your pages to check each personalized element.

Go back to everyone

  • Click the ✕ on the segment chip. Its tooltip reads "Clear audience preview".

  • If the button is folded into the More controls menu (⋯), open it and choose Everyone (default) under Preview as audience.

Exiting Studio also clears the audience preview.

Tip

Combine this with Mobile View to check how a segment's content looks on a phone.

Note

Studio pauses the audience preview while you save or publish, and turns it back on afterward. Preview content is never saved into your store's settings.
