The product settings allow you to make adjustments to whom products will be shown.

πŸ”’ This feature is included in Premium and Enterprise plans and is available as an add-on for all other plans.

Go to Content > Products and select the Targeting tab.

Product Prevalence

A product's prevalence can be adjusted to increase or decrease its likelihood of appearing in recommendations. The default setting for prevalence is set to Normal Visibility.

  • Promote: The product will most likely appear in recommendations

  • Increase Visibility: The product has an increased chance of appearing in recommendations

  • Decrease Visibility: The product has a lesser chance of appearing in recommendations

Targeting Keywords

Our engine uses targeting keywords to prioritize products based on shopper's interests. LimeSpot automatically generates targeting keywords for each product, but you can add your own or remove some that are inaccurate.

To delete a keyword, click on the x button in the keyword's box. To add a keyword, click on the '+ Keyword' option in the Targeted Keywords box, type in a keyword, then press enter or click on an auto-complete suggestion.

The keywords available are based on our own dictionary. If the word you would like to add is not available, please contact us.

Targeting Demographic

Targeting Demographic (gender, relationship, age) are used to influence how products should appear to certain demographics. There are two options you can select from when choosing a targeting rule for a product:

Filter (indicated by a funnel icon)

If a product has its targeting demographic set as Filtered, the product will only appear to shoppers if they match the demographic specified. For example, if a product has the filters for Men, that product will only appear to men and not to women.

Prioritize (indicated by an up arrow icon)

If a product has its targeting demographic set to Prioritized, the product will be considered more important for shoppers that match the demographic specified. For example, if a product has been prioritized for women, it will be considered more important for women and will show up more prominently in their personalized collections. Men will still be able to be recommended the product, but its priority will be lessened.

Targeting Demographic can be used in combination. For example, using the filter option for men and senior will ensure that the product will only appear to male seniors
