Get started with optimizing your Thank you and Order status pages

Learn how to optimize your Thank you and Order status page performance with automatic product recommendations and subscription offers

Encourage your customers to make a follow-up purchase right after they have paid for an order on the Thank You and Order Status pages using the Zesty Checkout & Post-purchase app.

Step 1: Upgrade to Checkout Extensibility

To begin, open Shopify Checkout Settings and make sure your Thank you and Order status pages are upgraded to Checkout Extensibility.

Step 2 - Navigate to Shopify Checkout Editor

Navigate to Shopify Checkout Editor where you can add, remove and customize your Checkout page for your customers.

Once you are in the Checkout Editor, click the dropdown and select Thank You or Order status page

Step 3 - Add app blocks

Click on the "Add app block" button at the bottom part of the Editor, to add Zesty app blocks to the body of your Thank You or Order Status page

You can add Product Recommendations and Line Recommendations

Line Item Recommendations

Encourage last-minute additions to items already added ordered by adding the Line Item Recommendations app block.

It can help with upselling a subscription option or show a cross-sell product that goes well with what they have already bought.

  • Block title - the name of the box

  • Recommendation type - the type of box that will be added which affects the products to be displayed. You can select from the boxes that Zesty has (Trending, Most Popular, Upsell, Cross-sell, New Arrivals, Bought Together, Related Items)

  • Collection - If you want to add a specific collection, you can add the Shopify Collection ID. If you want to include all collections, just leave this space blank. Please note that only Most Popular, Trending, and New Arrivals collections are included.

  • Fallback & Fallback Collection- if there is no applicable item from the Recommendation type you chose, this collection will be displayed instead. You can also choose to hide the app block completely if there is no applicable item to be displayed.

  • Number of Recommendations - How many products are displayed at a time. The default is this app block will display 1 product at a time.

  • Add to Cart Button Text - the label of your add to cart button

  • Show Subscribe Options if available - if you have an integrated subscription app (like Recharge) and offer subscriptions, you can display it here instead of recommendation products.

  • Subscribe Button Text - the label of your Subscribe button. The default display is "Subscribe & Save"

  • Show Subscribe Options if available - Set as True to show subscriptions options per product, if available (Recommended)

Product Recommendations

In order to make the shopping journey more personal for your customer, you can add automatic product recommendations to your Thank you and Order status pages to drive more sales.

You can move this box before or after any of the two components of your Order Details (order status & customer information) by simply dragging the Product Recommendation component to where you want it to be.

  • Block title - label of the block/box

  • Recommendation Type - the type of box that will be added which affects the products to be displayed. You can select from the boxes that Zesty has (Trending, Most Popular, Upsell, Cross-sell, New Arrivals, Bought Together, Related Items)

  • Collection - If you want to add a specific collection, you can add the Shopify Collection ID. If you want to include all collections, just leave this space blank. Please note that only Most Popular, Trending, and New Arrivals collections are included.

  • Fallback & Fallback Collection- if there is no applicable item from the Recommendation type you chose, this collection will be displayed instead. You can also choose to hide the app block completely if there is no applicable item to be displayed.

  • Number of Items - How many products are displayed at a time. The default is this app block will display 3 products at a time.

  • Add to Cart Button text - the label of your ATC button. The default is "Add".

  • Style - How your products will look like. Choose between rows (horizontally) or columns (vertically)

Save

Make sure you toggle among the three settings (desktop, mobile, and full screen) to check how your Thank You and Order status pages looks in any of these configurations before saving your work.

Run a Test Order

Once all of these have been set, you are good to go. You can try to do a test purchase so you can see what the page looks like for your customers.
