Shopify Flow is Shopify's Workflow engine that is currently available to Shopify Plus customers. It is an eCommerce automation platform that helps you easily automate tasks and processes within your store and across your apps. LimeSpot is now integrated with Shopify Flow so you can send actions to LimeSpot's Custom Events in order to allow grouping users into audience segments based on the activities on your Shopify store.

How to Use LimeSpot Custom Events in Shopify Flow

  1. Follow Shopify's guide on creating workflows.

  2. Once you define a trigger, it's time to set an action (what you want to happen as a result of the trigger/event). From the Action window, Select LimeSpot Personalizer > LimeSpot Custom event as your action from the list of apps that you have installed.

3. Choose the relevant variables from the workflow depending on your use case.

In our example, we want to send a LimeSpot Custom event when a new Yotpo review is submitted, so we are going to use yotpo_reviewed as the Custom Event Identifier variable and the Rating (Yotpo's {{starRating}} variable) as our Value.

4. Now go to your LimeSpot Admin Panel and navigate to Segmentation > Audience at the top. Create a new segment (select a Blank one) to define segmentation criteria based on the new Custom Event.

In our example, we are creating a segment for all the users who gave 4 or 5 stars to any of the products.

5. Check back after a certain time period to see your User Count increase for your specific custom event in the Segmentation > Audience dashboard.
