What is Shopify Checkout Extensibility?
Shopify Checkout Extensibility allows merchants to customize and enhance the checkout experience on their Shopify stores. This feature enables the integration of custom apps and scripts to modify the checkout flow, add new functionalities, and improve the overall user experience.
Main limitation
Checkout Extensibility on Checkout page is available for Shopify Plus merchants only.
Checkout Extensibility on Thank you & Order status pages is available for all merchants on all plans.
How to upgrade to Checkout Extensibility
Check Compatibility:
Ensure your Shopify plan supports Checkout Extensibility. This feature is typically available on Shopify Plus plans.
Navigate to Shopify Admin Panel > Settings:
Go to Settings > Checkout.
Enable Checkout Extensibility:
Look for the option to enable Checkout Extensibility. Follow the prompts to activate it.
How to upgrade to Checkout Extensibility for Thank You & Order status pages
Navigate to the Checkout Editor:
Go to Settings > Checkout.
Click on Customize to access the Checkout Editor.
Go to Thank You Page
Open the page dropdown on top of the page and choose Thank you page
Enable checkout extensibility
Look for the option to enable Checkout Extensibility. Follow the prompts to activate it.
