Limitations of Connecting Your Existing Merchant Center

There are certain limitations if you choose to connect your existing Merchant Center to our app. When you change the website URL from one Merchant Center to another, Google resets the product feed and the old products will be retired. This is the way Google works.

Automatic Product Feed

In order for our app to work properly, we need to manage the feed automatically. The existing Merchant Center is typically managed via content API or another manual option which does not work with our app because it's not automatic. Our engine is run by AI and we need to take over the product feed so that it automatically syncs.

Workaround for Connecting Your Existing Merchant Center

We do not suggest connecting your existing Merchant Center with our app. However, you can if you want to. All you need to do is just connect the LimeSpot created Merchant Center to your main domain and retire your previous Merchant Center. You can also choose to connect it to your .myshopify or .mybigcommerce domain and let them both run in parallel.
