If you already have a Google Merchant Center Account and are currently running Smart or Standard Shopping Campaigns and wish to keep them, you can create a 2nd Merchant Center using your .myshopify domain (or any other domain that is connected to your online store)
Note: Maintaining two Merchant Centers is rather confusing and is not recommended by LimeSpot, mainly because it will create two separate listings for your product catalogue on google that will competing with each other over the same audience. For more information on the limitations of connecting your existing Merchant Center, click here.
Follow the instructions below to learn how to set this up:
Set your Target Market settings and use your myshopify domain for your website URL. This is your secondary domain.
Click on CREATE MERCHANT CENTER ACCOUNT to create a new Merchant Center. This process should take less than a minute and you should be able to access the new Merchant Center in: http://merchants.google.com when you click on Claim Website > Fix.
3. Once you click on Claim website in the Merchant Center, everything should be automatically claimed and verified. If for some reason this does not work, follow these 2 articles for further help:
4. Go back to your LimeSpot onboarding and click on Check Again to make sure the domain is claimed and there are no errors. Our system also checks this automatically every 60 seconds.
You are all set.
